In 1983, The Nashville Network was started.  What started as a 6-Hour block repeated 4 times a day grew to be a phenomenon.  Game Shows were a big part of it, notably with Fandango.  In 1989, Fandango would be axed after a long 6 years on the air and in its place would be a show that took the best of Gambit, tweaked it enough to play like a much different game and turned it into a better version of Gambit with a host that replaced the host of Gambit on Tic Tac Dough.  I give you Top Card.
