Dumb Answer of the Week
What Happens When You Speak Before You Think

June 17th - June 23rd, 2012

Our newest DAotW comes from one of the last episodes of the 40th season of "The Price is Right". Let's meet our latest loser...errr, I mean honoree.

Say hello to Almaz. She was one of the first four called to contestant's row on the June 18th episode of "Price". On her second chance in contestant's row, Almaz won her way up on stage by wisely bidding $1 more than the contestant preceding her.

And she did the butt move.

And apparently, Almaz has also won the butt dance competition. Back to BlogTalkRadio you go, Lackey!

Drew asks for some background informatuon from Almaz, and we find out the following nugget: She works as an engineering manager in the automotive industry in Detroit. Hmmm, it might serve her well when she plays for...

A NEW JEEP!

And as you can see, she'll have the opportunity to win that Jeep and $10,000 in "Gas Money".

Drew: "You gotta know the price of that car or you're going to have to change jobs or not go back to Detroit or something."

As a quick refresher, there are 5 prices. Almaz has to, one at a time, pick the 4 prices that are NOT the price of the car in order to win the car.

So, what does Almaz pick to start on her road to $10,000 and a new car?

"22!" (Meaning $22,845)

And, much like many in the automobile industry these days, she gets pink slipped from the jump.

Personally, I don't know why she didn't try to eliminate the higher prices first, since they rarely offer new cars worth $25,000+ on pricing games in regular episodes.

Regardless, Almaz has some nice jewelry and what ultimately may be the final DAotW of the 2011-2012 season (at least in terms of American game shows).

Oh, and in a non-GSG tangent, I'd like to give a shout out to contestant extraordinaire (and Facebook friend) Scott Hostetler who won over $44,000 on the same episode of "Price". It's just another notch on the Game Show Guru's belt. Congrats, Scott!
